I selected Couch Skins because I have a "nice" cloth sectional and three small long haired dogs. I wanted a couch cover that is water-proof and has individual cushion covers so if the dog barfed on one cushion, I did not have to take an entire couch cover off and launder it which can be time-consuming. My Order was placed on Jan. 27, 2022 with assistance of customer service. I have a rather complicated sectional with a chaise and one end and a L shaped two-seater section at the other. I was confused about how to order the couch covers. It was scary to order a color using the computer to gauge the color choice, because every computer shows colors a little different. One complaint I have is that Couchskins does not offer to sell swatches to "be sure" that the color you order is what you expected, but the agent did say they were working on implementing that in the future. So the color selection is a bit of a gamble, but they do advertise a 30 day return policy. I was torn between light gray and caramel which the agent said was "very orange". My sectional is more tan than gray so I went with caramel hoping that it was less orange than the agent stated. I was asked to email a photo of the sectional and dimensions which I did and the customer service agent placed the order for me, all I had to do was put in my information and payment type. After the order was placed I received a confirmation email and many emails after that every few days with information about Couch Skins and the status of my order. The order was received on February 23, 2022 and I applied the couch covers on February 26th. The order was delivered in a rather large, round, soft "bundle" with a thick coating of duct-tape wrapped heavily around every square inch of the entire bundle of fabric covers, which was my order. I will say at first I was a little reluctant to use a knife, so ended up using scissors to open the bundle because of the unconstructed wrapping method, as I was afraid I might peirce the actual fabric of the couch covers! I gingerly cut through the tape, one layer at a time until I reached the product and then was able to cut the packing open to review the couch skins. No complaints about the condition of the wrapping. Each ordered item was individually placed inside in a thin, clear plastic bag with the size hand-written on a label afixed to the clear plastic bag. Once all the bags were unpacked, I realized that something was wrong. I had too many couch covers! It seems that there was a miscommunication between myself and the agent that placed my order. I wanted individual couch cushion covers for each back and each bottom cushion, including the long chaise cushion which I received and were a perfect fit. But I also received a complete couch cover for each of the three sectionals that were unnecessary when I was already covering each cushion, There was no way to use them "under" all the cushions and over the couch framework, because the back cushions are attached to the main frame of each sectional and cannot be removed. This is difficult to describe, but the main thing was I had three rather expensive one piece couch covers that I could not use in conjunction with the individual cushion covers (total overkill and a waste of time). The one piece covers will cover then entire outside back, inside frame work and the outside drop to the floor on the leg side of the couch. I did not need all that covered, so it was not needed in my case. If you want a couch cover that fits like a "fitted sheet" over your entire exposed parts of the couch these are the solution, but I didn't want or need that. I contacted Customer Service the next day on February 27 to let them know the issue and that I wanted to return these three unused pieces. After numerous back and forth emails explaining the reason, there was finally a meeting of the minds and I received the information that I needed to properly return the three pieces (at my expense). The instructions were very specific and it was clear that if I did not follow the instructions to each detail, I would not recieve my refund. I sent the UPS tracking number via email on March 2, 2022, received an acknowledgement that the email and tracking number were received on March 3, 2022. Oddly, I received another email on March 10, 2022 with the Subject Line "Complete Your Return" and in the body of the email, it stated that they sent me a shipping label or I would receive one soon and "Once you recieve your return shipping label, get your returned items and follow the instructions to complete your return." I ignored that email, but could see how that would confuse someone that had already mailed back the returned items and furnished a tracking number as required by the seller. Later on the same day, March 10th I recieved another email that said "some items in your order have been refunded." and approximately a week later received confirmation that my refund would be made back to the credit card that I used to pay for my order. That was yesterday so the refund will take a few more days to credit as per their email. I am sure that will happen. Back to the product! The covers are perfect and fit each cushion. It takes a bit of work naturally to place the covers on each cushion and make sure the elastic is tucked underneath and no wrinkles appear on the outer cushion. As the photo shows, I didn't spend the time to make it look perfect, but clearly it can look better with a little more effort. The dog hair is easy to get up and liquid spills just bead up and do not penetrate the fabric. I have not washed the covers yet (did not wash them prior to placement, but probably should have for hygiene purposes). There are no instructions included with the order and a probably on their website which I did not investigate yet. No complaints, just want to make a few points in summary: 1) It takes about a month to receive your order (I didn't care, didn't ask the agent how long it took to receive, but if you do need them quickly, may want to ask if there is an expedition option); and 2) If you have to return an item or more, be prepared for a little pushback and explaining why. Also the process is a little more work than most of the returns you do through other on-line sellers so there is that. BUT, they stand behind their product, they sell a GREAT couch cover because it doesn't slip and slide like most couch covers, if soiled you just have to remove the dirty cushion cover (if you go that route) and it is truly water-proof as advertised. You can chat with an agent, they are very helpful, one even called me on my cell phone during the order process to make sure they understood my needs, had me send a photo of the sectional and discussed all my concerns during the process. This is a company that you can trust that sells a useful product that you will feel is unique in the marketplace of couch covers, is very comfortable, fabric is thick and sturdy and well made (also has a unique fabric design). The colors are standard couch colors, but do pick one that you feel is the closest match unless you want a contrasting color. I apologize for the long review, but that's what I like to read when I am researching a product, so that's how I review.
